Chris Fox
Senior Pastor

Rev. Chris Fox serves Senior Pastor of West Burnsville Baptist Church. He began his ministry here in January, 2023. Pastor Chris is married to Jamie and they have two daughters, Madyson and Hannah.

Pastor Chris has been in ministry for 28 years and has a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Religion and History from Mars Hill College and Master of Divinity degree from Gardner-Webb University School of Divinity.    

Pastor Chris's life verses are Acts 20:24, Colossians 1:28-29, and 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Renee’ Hughes
Church Secretary

Renee’ is originally from Black Mountain, NC. She  gave her life to the Lord in 1973 as a young child.  

Renee’ met her husband of 30 years, Allen, in Black Mountain where they attended school together. They moved to Burnsville in 1993 to care for Allen’s grandparents, and on March 16, 1997, Renee’ and Allen joined West Burnsville Baptist Church.  

Renee’ and Allen have two teenage boys in high school, Nathaniel and Oliver Hughes.

Renee’ has served in many areas of the church: mission kids, nursery, kitchen, care ministry, benevolence and assistant secretary. Renee’ accepted the church secretary position on September 13, 2016.  

Renee’ enjoys working and helping others and knows she is exactly where the Lord has placed her.
