What Does God Want Me to Do?

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:13

  1. Confess that you have not put God first in your life & ask him to forgive your sins.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9

Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Act 4:12

2. Ask Jesus Christ to come in & be the Lord of your life.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:12-13

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20

3. Confess that Jesus died to pay for your sins & that He rose again & is alive today.

4. Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

5. You can take these steps by praying a simple prayer of commitment to God.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for making me and loving me, even when I’ve ignored you and gone my own way. I realize I need you in my life and I’m sorry for my sins. I ask you to forgive me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Please help me to understand it more.

As much as I know how, I want to follow you from now on. Please come into my life and make me a new person inside. I accept your gift of salvation. Please help me to grow now as a Christian.
